The witch

ANALYSIS

       When I was twelve years old,I used to go to liba,about nine kilometers from the town,to visit my favorite uncle,tio sabelo,the head teacher of the barrio school there.I like going to libay because out many things to eat at my uncle's house: cane sugar syrup,candied meat of young coconut,corn and rice cakes,ripe jackfruit,guavas from trees growing wild on a hill not far from tio sabelo's house.

               

  SUMMARY

•The story say a witch known as minggay awok  which means witch in visayan lives near the creek dividing the libas and sinit-an neighborhoods.The inhabitants were frightened by their unusual presence,lonely life,and occasional visit to the barrios.whenever strange thing happen,she has always been blamed.

Minggay was therefore also exposed to various attempts at killing   in order to stop the curse she supposedly placed on theme.Our suspicion have never been confirmed,however.One day,a boy who visits his uncle in libas from time to time met an old woman fishing in the creek.

She was kind enough to take him to a place where could get more shrimps.

And the question of his experience with the contrasting picture of the witch in the stream with the old woman.

•the type of conflict in "The witch"by eldilberto k tiempo is man vs man.because it's all about the witch,also called as awok in the place of southern leyte.mingggay was known as one of theme,minggay was so popular even 5 sitios beyond limbas.

•WHAT ARE THE THEME OF STORY.

•the theme of the story not all we see,touch,hear is true,we can't judge a thing or idea that only see by people without a prove even it is popular or not . proving, explaining an idea is not a bad thing,as long as we don't hurt , affect someone's feeling and as long we have enough data,proves that we can relay on.

1.)do you think minggay is really a witch,(why and why not) explained your answer.

The story never says that minggay is really a confirmed witch after all,he assumed that minggay was a kind woman,had he not known where she lived.

2.)what is the relation between the boy and minggay.

The boybeing young Ang minggay being old.the boy is the protagonist while minggay is a antagonist in the story since many people hated her for who she was.

3.) explained the difference of the short story to the other forms of literature like poetry,drama,essay,etc.

short stories usually still follow the five plot points; meanwhile, poetry is not dependent on that and can be presented in a variety of forms, whether it's traditional verse or something contempor
